21th "Triumph of Jazz" will take place in March in three cities of Russia!

In 2021, the "Triumph of Jazz" will be held for the 21st time! 11, 12 and 13 March at the Svetlanov hall of the International house of music will be the star of the European jazz № 1, trumpet-virtuoso til Brenner, one of the most sought-after pianists of the new generation – Emmet Cohen and his Trio, an American singer, guitarist and composer Allan Harris, a longtime headliner of the Festival - Moscow jazz orchestra and Igor Butman, and many others!
"We have prepared an interesting program, focusing on new projects of young Russian jazz musicians: Anton Chekurov, Victoria Kaunova and Ilya Morozov, Nikolai Mishchenko, Sergey Dolzhenkov will perform at the Festival with their own programs. We are also very much looking forward to the arrival of our foreign guests, and we hope that everything will be successful and fans of our Festival will be able to meet one of the most talented pianists of the new generation – Emmet Cohen, who will present his Trio for the first time in Russia. The Orchestra and I will present a joint program with the virtuoso trumpeter Thiel Brenner, who is coming to us from Germany. By the way, the Moscow Jazz Orchestra will perform at the Festival all 3 days with different soloists. We also expect our dear guest from the United States – Allan Harris and his group," Igor Butman said.
On March 11, the festival will feature the Emmet Cohen Trio, Sergey Dolzhenkov and his New Blood Big Band, as well as Igor Butman, the Moscow Jazz Orchestra and Oleg Akkuratov.
On March 12, Allan Harris and his band will present their program, as well as the Anton Chekurov Quartet, and the Moscow Jazz Orchestra conducted by Igor Butman together with the singer Fantine!
On March 13, Victoria Kaunova and the Ilya Morozov Sextet, the Nikolai Mishchenko Trio will perform at the Triumph of Jazz, and the trumpet virtuoso Til Brenner and the Moscow Jazz Orchestra under the baton of Igor Butman will present a joint program.
During the history of the Festival, the Moscow and St. Petersburg audience was able to see and hear musicians whose appearance in Russia was difficult to imagine – At the invitation of Igor Butman, music fans were presented with legends of the world jazz scene, bringing together generations and cultures: Alvin Jones, Gary Burton, Joe Lovano, McCoy Tyner, Mike Stern, Billy Cobham, Larry Coryell, Lee Ritenaur, Joshua Redman, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Ahmad Jamal, Randy Brecker, Toots Thielemans, Gino Vanelli, Lee Konitz, Take6, Lenny White, Roy Haynes, Dave Holland, Roy Hargrove, Bob James, and many other superstars who rightfully represent jazz on a planetary scale. It is hardly an exaggeration to say that from this very moment Moscow and St. Petersburg are on a par with the jazz capitals of the world, and the Triumph of Jazz Festival has become their jazz hallmark.
Today, "Triumph of Jazz" includes headlining concerts at the Moscow International House of Music, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic named after D. Shostakovich, a concert at the Tula Philharmonic, as well as 4-5 concerts of festival participants at the Igor Butman Club, a series of master classes and the International Festival-Competition "Children's Triumph of Jazz". The festival is attended by more than 7,000 spectators annually.

4th Sirius Jazz Festival

On March 5, 6 and 7, the Sirius Science and Art Park will host the traditional Sirius Jazz Festival. For the fourth year in a row, it is held in collaboration with the famous Russian jazz musician, People's Artist of Russia Igor Butman.
